Lofty
ceilings and a long entrance hall greets you as you enter
this grand classical styled mansion. The floor was covered
in colourful mosaic tiles even right through to the separate
kitchen building to the rear of the house.
Sadly, scrap thieves had butchered the internals of this
house and sliced away more than 90% of the 1st floor, alone.
Even the entire main staircase was gone.
I have a friend who says she visited this very house many
times when she was a child, as she was the god daughter
to the matriarch of the house.
My friend says she remembers the main rooms being furnished
with elaborately carved Rose wood furniture of every size
and shape. Allegedly the matriarch retired overseas many
year ago, taking with her key pieces of her prized furniture
with her.
