Location : St George's Girls school, Penang
Visit date : 2009
Current Status: Renovated

This is the 1914 built main building of the former St George's girls school along Northam Road (Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah), in Penang.

In recent times the site had sat derelict for many years after being used as a teacher training college. It was only in the last 5 years that the site was completely renovated and modernised. Certain parties however claim that the renovations were far from ideal, adversely affecting the buildings overall historical character and presence.

For background information as well as period photographs of this building, more can be found in the book: "Giving Our Best: The Story of St. George's Girls' School, Penang, 1885-2010"
